There are a number of agro-tourism hot-spots in Johor. For instance, there is Seri Gunung Pulai, which is a kind of agro-tourism village. Visitors here are not only invited to savour the delicious local types of fruit, but you can also learn how to tap rubber trees, a practice that's still common in Malaysia's many rubber tree plantations.

Other fun agro-activities include plucking mushrooms and learning how to use the "jala", the traditional casting net, to catch fish in a pond.

When you're near the Batu Pahat area, check out its two agro-tourism villages, Kangkar Merlimau Agro-tourism Village and Parit Kuari Agro-tourism Village. Kangkar Merlimau is the site for countless durian trees, although other fruit, and even orchids, are grown here as well.
